Abstract Title: Low Cost Apparatus for Measuring the Speed of Light
Abstract: We have produced a relatively low cost setup to measure the speed of light. In contrast to most commercially available apparatus, the NBI system enables students to measure the speed of not only red, but also green and blue light.  This allows for a somewhat more open approach and potentially addresses some important higher level experimental learning goals, including the importance of evaluating errors, care in making the experimental set-up, the role of noise in sensitive electronic measurements, and an understanding of statistical and systematic errors.
