Give, Take, and Connect: The AAPT Laboratory Recommendations as a Framework for Community Progress |
Abstract: |
During the past decade, the advanced lab community in physics has become significantly more active and connected. This growth in activity and connection should be encouraged and facilitated to make the most of limited resources while generating products and processes that meet the various needs of community members. The AAPT Laboratory Recommendations, approved and distributed in 2014, provide a framework for making these products and processes readily available to the community via a platform to be housed within ComPADRE. Several examples of different laboratory experiments will illustrate the utility of the framework and how the platform can facilitate community progress, for the benefit of our students. |
